Content Moderation Policy

Last updated: February 2026

dirty. maintains active content moderation to ensure platform safety, compliance with applicable law, and adherence to community standards. This policy describes how content is reviewed, reported, and enforced.

1. User-Generated Content

dirty. permits adult users (18+) to create, upload, and share lawful content within the platform. All content must comply with the Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and applicable law. Content is the sole responsibility of the user who posts it. dirty. does not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of user-generated content.

2. Content Standards

All content on dirty. must meet the following standards:

  • Content must not depict, suggest, or involve minors in any context.
  • Content must not include non-consensual intimate material.
  • Content must not promote or facilitate illegal activity.
  • Content must not contain threats, harassment, or targeted abuse.
  • Content must not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Content must not advertise escort services, prostitution, or compensated meetings.
  • Content must not contain malware, spam, or unauthorized commercial material.

3. Review Process

dirty. employs a multi-layered content review process:

Automated Review

Automated systems scan uploaded content for prohibited material, including potential CSAM, known non-consensual imagery, and other policy violations. Content flagged by automated systems is queued for manual review.

Manual Review

Trained moderation staff review flagged content, reported content, and random samples of uploaded material. Manual reviewers assess content against platform policies and applicable law.

Proactive Monitoring

dirty. conducts proactive monitoring of platform activity to identify policy violations, suspicious patterns, and emerging threats.

4. Reporting Mechanism

All users can report content or accounts that they believe violate platform policies:

  • In-Platform Reporting: Use the report button available on all content and profiles.
  • Email Reporting: Send a report to abuse@dirty.com with details of the violation.

Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Reports involving minors, non-consensual content, or imminent harm are prioritized and reviewed immediately.

5. Escalation Process

Content reports are escalated based on severity:

  • Standard violations (e.g., spam, misleading profiles): Reviewed within 24 hours.
  • Serious violations (e.g., harassment, copyright infringement): Reviewed within 12 hours.
  • Critical violations (e.g., CSAM, non-consensual content, trafficking): Reviewed immediately and reported to law enforcement as required.

6. Enforcement Actions

When a policy violation is confirmed, dirty. may take the following actions:

  • Content Warning: The user is notified and required to remove or modify the content.
  • Content Removal: The violating content is removed without prior notice.
  • Account Restriction: The account is temporarily restricted from posting or messaging.
  • Account Suspension: The account is temporarily suspended pending review.
  • Account Termination: The account is permanently terminated.
  • Law Enforcement Referral: The violation is reported to appropriate authorities.

The severity of enforcement action corresponds to the nature and severity of the violation, the user's history of violations, and the potential harm to other users or the public.

7. Appeals

Users may appeal moderation decisions by contacting hello@dirty.com within 14 days of the enforcement action. Appeals are reviewed by a senior moderator not involved in the original decision. dirty. will respond to appeals within 5 business days. Decisions involving critical violations (CSAM, non-consensual content) are generally not subject to appeal.

8. Transparency

dirty. is committed to transparency in content moderation. Users are notified when enforcement actions are taken against their account or content. The reason for the action is communicated clearly. Users are informed of their right to appeal where applicable.

9. Contact
